How many times have you asked yourself “Should I be doing this? Can I do it” or even saying things like “I will look stupid” or “There’s no way I can do this”.
This is absolutely fine! Guess what? You’re human!
Leaving our comfort zone makes us feel vulnerable and scared! Unfamiliar things make us feel nervous and this fear of the unknown is what stops us most of the times.
Now, you’ve heard this a million times, but it’s so true: Stepping out of your comfort zone is good for you! Trying new things will help you to eliminate those fears and learn and expand our minds! So, I’m not telling you to jump out of a plane alright? But when was the last time you did something for the very first time?
You could start with something simple! Here are some examples for you to try: • Learn how to play a musical instrument • Go for a ride on your bike • Start a new exercise routine, like yoga! • Meet new people • Try a new recipe • Learn a new skill • Learn a new language
Trying new things will give you a sense of accomplishment and empowerment and increase your feelings of happiness and excitement! It will give you a fresh perspective about these things you were so scared of trying and about yourself!
